Fear – How I Found Peace After Years of Anxiety

Fear is something no one wants to experience. I know — I’ve had my fair share of it. At times, I felt so lonely and desperate that I almost didn’t want to live anymore.

My fear came from having tinnitus and not knowing if it was going to get worse. It made me search for a way to find peace of mind, and that’s when I stumbled upon the Law of Attraction and how I could work on my thoughts and beliefs to feel differently about my situation.

For me it was a long process to not be afraid anymore. But I noticed that when I practiced working on my beliefs — how I perceived not only this fearful situation but also many other things in my life — changes started happening. I was encouraged to continue, step by step, to lessen my fear.

The Tiger Behind Me

I became better at changing my feelings, at becoming stronger and more confident, at seeing most things in a positive light. But the crippling fear I had was still a heavy burden.

Deep down I knew it was in my mind. I knew the risk of my biggest fear — that things would get worse — was slim to none. Still, my amygdala had been conditioned to stay on high alert. It was enough for a flee to sneeze for me to jump ten meters in the air.

I never gave up on the thought that my fear was all in my mind. It felt less and less over time, but it was always present. Like having a tiger breathing down my neck, waiting to attack at any moment. Tiring, to say the least — but also strangely empowering. I am very focused, and once I set my mind on something I don’t give up. So I continued my quest to find a way to finally be free.

The Turning Point

I tried treatment after treatment, visualizing, learning more about how the mind works. Step by step, I learned to relax a little bit more. With knowledge came a sense of security and trust — at least for me.

But what I didn’t realize was that after so many years of constant tension and fear, my body itself needed healing. My nervous system was too tired and too stressed for me to fully recover through inner work alone. My body needed love and attention so my mind could finally find peace.

Meeting a woman who specialized in helping people with long-term stress became the turning point. I got supplements, I cleansed my overworked liver, and little by little I felt my body start to relax. As it did, my mind softened too. I felt grateful and happy in a way I hadn’t for years.

A Year to Heal

It took about a year, but eventually I came to a place where I felt completely relaxed — with no trace of the alarming levels of stress that had once controlled me.

I want to say this clearly: it wasn’t enough to only work on my thoughts and beliefs. That helped, but my body also needed care after so many years of fear. The combination is what made the difference.

Today I feel enormously grateful for every single step of my journey. And I share this because I know how lonely fear can feel. But it can be done. You can find peace again. If you want it, and if you don’t give up.

What I Learned About Healing Fear

Looking back, there are a few things that made the biggest difference for me:

  • Patience and persistence. Healing fear is not instant. It takes time, and that’s okay. Progress often happens slowly, then suddenly.

  • Working on both mind and body. Inner work is powerful, but when the body is exhausted, it also needs healing for the mind to finally relax.

  • Knowledge brings peace. Understanding how fear works in the brain and nervous system gave me a sense of safety and made the process less scary.

  • Support matters. Finding the right person who could guide me through the last steps made all the difference. Sometimes we can’t do it all alone.

If you are struggling with fear, I want you to know this: it’s not permanent. Fear feels overwhelming, but it can be shifted, softened, and released. Piece by piece, your body and mind can find peace again.

Want Support on Your Own Journey?

If you’re struggling with fear, stress, or anxiety, I want you to know you don’t have to go through it alone. I’ve been where you are — and I know how overwhelming it can feel.

Over the years, I’ve gathered tools, practices, and insights that helped me move from fear to freedom. And now, I’d love to share them with others who might need the same support.
