Morning Magic – First Tip in My Wellness Series
I have so many things to say about how to be healthy, and I’ve decided to start a series of easy tips on how you can take one step at a time toward becoming a healthier you.
I’ve spent the last two decades reading and learning about how to be the healthiest version of myself, and it hasn’t always been easy. I haven’t always felt like chewing on vegetables or going to the gym, but most of the time I’ve forced myself to get up and do what I know is best for me. With exceptions, of course… I’m only human. Some days just aren’t that great, and on those days, you absolutely deserve to do nothing and let it pass.
Anyway… the first easy tip is…

Morning routine
The way you start your morning is essential for how you’ll feel both physically and mentally the rest of the day. Don’t skip this.
There are many things you can do in the morning to optimize your energy, mindset, and wellbeing. How many depends on how much time you want to spend on you.
Tip one:
As soon as you wake up, your thoughts usually jump back into the same patterns they were in yesterday. It’s like a default setting. But you don’t have to stay there. A new attitude needs new thoughts, and you can absolutely shift that—but it takes practice for a few weeks until it starts to feel natural.
So, talk to yourself in the morning. Say kind, positive things out loud or in your head. Even better—play music that lifts you up while you do it. And don’t worry, this doesn’t have to take extra time. You can do it while you get dressed, brush your teeth, or drink your coffee.
There’s so much I could say about how this works—and how you’re actually changing the structure of your brain by feeding it new thoughts. (Really!) If you want to know more, ask me in the comments. There’s too much to fit in one post.
But just know this: if you do it regularly, this one little shift will make you feel stronger, calmer, more confident, and more grounded.
Fun fact: research on neuroplasticity shows that when you deliberately change your thoughts and self-talk, your brain literally rewires itself over time to support that new mindset.
Healthy tip no. 2 coming in the next post…
